Rainbows hold special activity evening

4th June 2008

The Rainbows show off their new hats

"Rainbows" (aged between 5 and 7) throughout the Girl Guides' Brentwood Division participated in a sponsored activity evening during May to raise money for local children’s charity Childcare.

Rainbows — the youngest group within the Girlguiding world — had to try to complete up to 10 tasks in 1 hour such as a wordsearch, colouring in the 20th anniversary rainbows badge, decorate and put together a baseball cap, skip 10 times, decorate a biscuit etc.

As with all girlguiding groups, Rainbows are taught to help others and do a lot for the local community and the elderly. As they get older, they work on different topic badges based around general tasks and sports.

The event was enjoyed by all.
