Thorndon Park Golf Day raises £2,500

Childcare held their first Charity Golf Day at Thorndon Park Golf Course on 1st August.

The day was attended by 50 keen golfers including 3 lady golfers who had the pleasure of playing on the best golf course in Essex followed by a wonderful 2 course lunch.

The event was a great success including one golfer achieving a hole in one and the event raised over £2,500 for Childcare to continue its work helping local children and families.

A big thank you goes out to Thorndon park golf course especially Ann, Lewis and Joy in the restaurant and bar for outstanding quality of food and service, Sykes Anderson LLP for sponsoring the trophies, Leisure Link, Kevin Butler, Mark Donovan and Ian Restall & the Orchid Rooms for donating auction and raffle prizes and everyone who attended the event for their generosity.

We look forward to seeing you all again at one of our future golf days.
