Catherine Andrews raises £1000 in a tandem skydive

Imagine standing at the edge of the open doorway of an aircraft travelling at 10,000 feet – the noise of the engine and the wind ringing in your ears.

Now imagine leaning out of that doorway and letting go – falling forward into the clouds as you freefall at over 120mph!.

Then imagine the peace and quiet as the canopy opens and you begin a gentle descent to the drop zone below.

On Saturday 23rd August Catherine Andrews had such an experience as she undertook a tandem skydive at a Cambridge airfield.

Through the generosity of her sponsors and the parish of Our Lady of Light – Clacton , she raised an amazing £1000 for Childcare.
