Over 100 "Run for a Child"

It was a bright sunny February morning as the runners lined up for our 2009 Run for a Child. This year the event, in conjunction with Pitsea Running Club, was held at Westley Height Country Park, Basildon.

A field of nearly 100 runners took part in the event but it was Basildon's Andy Law who claimed 1st place with a time of 18mins 21 secs.

Julie Abbott, Head of Fundraising said "This run is a great example of community fundraising - a local running club working in partnership and supporting a local charity to raise money to help local children. It would not have been possible without the support of Pitsea Running Club and we are truly grateful for their support".
